We believe that our employees are the key to our continued success and are looking for a Laboratory Technician.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Maintains Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
•Prepares specimens for on-site analysis or for shipment or storage.
•Analyzes specimens based on established study protocol, using automated, semi-automated or manual instrumentation and test methods.
•Documents all specimen handling, instrument usage and maintenance, raw data acquisition and formalized reports and validation and procedural processes.
•Performs and documents quality control, includes; equipment cleaning and maintenance.
•Monitors inventory and places orders when necessary to maintain adequate supplies.
•Performs new test investigation.
•Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.
•Calibrates laboratory instruments.
•Prepares data for inclusion in study reports.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school, specializing in medical technology; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MLT/ASCP or MT/ASCP desired.
