About the Opportunity/Requirements:     compress

Provide support for various microbiology activities. Maintain records, analyze data, and provide information when requested.
• Sampling of USP water systems including bioburden, appearance and coliform testing.
• Environmental monitoring—viable and non-viable.
• Data entry and trending of microbiological data.
• Maintain and provide accurate laboratory notebooks and records per cGMP.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation according to maintenance schedules and GMP requirements
• Apply basic skills in scientific techniques, principles and problem solving.
• Comply with company procedural guidelines, laboratory procedures and safety procedures.
• Contribute to a team-oriented, continuous improvement quality process
• Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks including organization and cleaning of work areas, checking for expired reagents, standards, solutions, chemicals and hazardous waste.

Education and Experience:
• Coursework in Microbiology, science-related field, lab program or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years experience in a laboratory setting (pharmaceutical preferred)
• Basic understanding of laboratory interactions and cGMP/quality control requirements
• Basic knowledge in the use and theory of general laboratory instrumentation
• Basic skills, such as aseptic technique
• Ability to work with a moderate level of supervision
• Exhibit good communication and technical writing abilities
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and other lab-related software

$31,000 - $35,000/year
