About the Opportunity/Requirements:

Provide support for various microbiology activities. Maintain records, analyze data, and provide information when requested.
Sampling of USP water systems including bioburden, appearance and coliform testing.
Environmental monitoringviable and non-viable.
Data entry and trending of microbiological data.
Maintain and provide accurate laboratory notebooks and records per cGMP.
Maintain laboratory instrumentation according to maintenance schedules and GMP requirements
Apply basic skills in scientific techniques, principles and problem solving.
Comply with company procedural guidelines, laboratory procedures and safety procedures.
Contribute to a team-oriented, continuous improvement quality process
Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks including organization and cleaning of work areas, checking for expired reagents, standards, solutions, chemicals and hazardous waste.
Education and Experience:
Coursework in Microbiology, science-related field, lab program or equivalent experience
0-2 years experience in a laboratory setting (pharmaceutical preferred)
Basic understanding of laboratory interactions and cGMP/quality control requirements
Basic knowledge in the use and theory of general laboratory instrumentation
Basic skills, such as aseptic technique
Ability to work with a moderate level of supervision
Exhibit good communication and technical writing abilities
Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and other lab-related software
